Problem is Javac.exe never existed there. After I installed the java plugin 1.3 from Sun, Textpad started looking for javac.exe in c:\windows. Before the plugin everything worked just fine. I have checked the paths and they are still correct, now I am stuck and looking for a little guidance.

This explains where TextPad looks in the registry for where Jave.exe and Javac.exe are. If this is incorrect you can then correct these settings.

Hi, I am having same problem. I tried reinstalling the javac.exe as instructed, and it worked for a single compile, then reverted to trying to find javac.exe in C:\Windows\System again. There is no reference in the registry at the specified location of anything but C:\jdk1.3 as JavaHome. Can anyone help? TIA very much... Bruce C.

I installed JDK1.3 before trying to installing Textpad (as my proffessor told). On v4.3.1, everything seems to be working fine.
