Translucent Find/Replace Form

I'm running TextPad 4.4.1 on a Dell laptop (Inspiron 7000) running Win2K (no
Service Packs) and I've run into the following minor annoyance: whenever the
Find/Replace form loses focus to the document window, the Find/Replace form
goes translucent on me and I can see my document text through the form...

I do not have this problem with my other workstation, which is an NT 4.0 desktop
so I suspect that I have a video driver issue, but I was wondering if this was a
known TextPad issue. TIA,

Hi Carter

To solve this problem please try the following:

1. Click on the Configure menu in TextPad.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Select the View page.
4. Clear the option "Transparent dialog boxes".
5. Click OK.

I hope that helps

Kind Regards

Indeed it did - and here I thought I was losing my mind since the
"Manage Files" dialogue does not become transparent when it
loses focus to the document window... Thanks!

Carter-

I have a similar set up to yours (Dell Laptop - W2K).

Anyhow, just a data point for you based on my experience...

I found that even if you have the option "Transparent dialog boxes" checked, with 256 colors as your display setting, you will not get a translucent window.
