Configuring the dash character?

I need to edit some files with the dash character joining words (much like underscores in field names in programming). I was wondering if it is possible to cofigure Textpad to treat the dashes like spaces or periods and only select a part of the name (between dashes) when I double click. Now it selects the whole word instead. Thanks for any help.

It seems like this is the default behavior already. When I double-click something like `double-word', it only selects `double', `word', or the dash itself, and never the whole thing. I'm running 4.4.1 on a Windows 2000 box. If you are running something similar, let me know and we can compare preference settings to see exactly what might be affecting this.

When one includes a hyphenated word in the keywords area of a syntax file, a hyphenated word in the edited file become treated as a single word when selecting. Is there any way to avoid this behavior?
