Right-Click Shell Extension

When I right-click a file in Explorer and select Textpad (the Shell Extension version, not SendTo), it hangs explorer and Textpad never comes up. I have to kill explorer using the task manager. I'm running Win2K SP1. The other right-click operations work OK, such as Send To or Open With. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

I get the same thing in both Windows ME (at home) and in Windows 2000 (at work).
I've decided to turn off the Textpad context menu feature until they can get this fixed.

It was happening to me with Win2K SP1 and TextPad 4.4.1 when I double-clicked on a file type (.txt) I had associated with TextPad.
I changed the registry entry from:
C:\PROGRAM FILES\TEXTPAD 4\TEXTPAD.EXE -s
to:
"C:\PROGRAM FILES\TEXTPAD 4\TEXTPAD.EXE" "%1"
and now it works fine.
Proceed only in accordance with your own comfort in hacking away at the Registry.

See the FAQ section in the help file on "Why does it take a long time to open small files" symptom. Somebody is holding your DDE.
Here win2k sp1, works great.
Anyway, I'd rather blame Milly than Textpad...
