Printing underscores

I'm having an unusual problem in that my printer (HP Deskjet 880c) won't print underscores, "_", in my files. I've cleaned the print heads and used notepad just to double check it wasn't a clogged inkjet or something. I haven't the faintest idea of what's going on. Any suggestions?

Could it be that the font you have set in textpad for printing (which font is that?) does not define the underscore sign?
Or that it is placed so far down that it gets clobbered by characters in the next line?

I checked. It's the default courier 10 pt font that textpad has as default on install. A friend of mine is having the same problem on her computer with the same default font settings and a different printer (I'm not sure what kind).
Looks like it works find at school where textpad is loaded onto WindowsNT machines and printing to various types of laser printers so *shrug*

I too am having problems printing underscores. I've tried a variety of fonts, but no luck. This is a problem because as a programmer I use underscores a lot. Anybody have any ideas?
