Community

This one has me stumped. I can never edit in hex view. I always get the "the document is read only!" alert and "read" shows in the status bar - the files aren't read only and it happens on different versions in win98 and win2k. The files edit fine if I open them in text mode. I am ready to be humbled if this is something stupid!

Searching for "hex" or "read only" didn't find anything but I did discover another post that said it can't be done. I'll wait for an update then . Perhaps the alert should say "Hex editing not supported yet" instead of the confusing "document is read only!"
