I can't seem to get my colors or line number attributes to stick with cgi documents (*.pl and *.cgi).

My HTML documents are showing up the way I want them to in the editor.

Did you create a document class for these files?
If not, do so (see help file for how to do it - under Help Topics/How To.../Use Document Classes/Create a New Document Class)
