Send

Hi,

Sometimes I accidentially click File > Send
instead of File > Save.

If I hit Send Textpad Freezes Up and I have
to CTRL+ALT+DEL out, and I lose whatever
I had not saved prior to trying to save that time.

Is there a way to Disable "Send" on the File menu?
Or is there something in the Registry that textpad
is looking for? I have let it sit for up to 15 Minutes
thinking it would give up, but it just freezes.

TextPad 3.2.5

In Textpad help, go to
How to...
Restrict User Capabilities
and do what it tells you to disable send command.

It only has...

1 Disallows creation and use of user tools on the Tools menu.
2 Disallows editing existing files.
4 Disallows use of the Save As command.
8 Disallows use of the Manage Files and Explorer commands.

Am I missing something in my help file? What number Disables
the Send Command?

Ooops, I didn't see you are using an old version. I have 4.4 which has also:

10 Disallow use of the Send command on the File menu.
20 Disallow use of the Run command.
40 Disallow copying to the clipboard and drag and drop editing.
80 Adhere to Windows group policies (see below).

Just try 10 and see whether it will help - or update to current version!
