Line length marker

A while back I used an editor, I think it might have been EditPad, that drew a vertical line at whatever length I set it to. For example, if I needed to format a document with a maximun horizontal line length of 70 characters, I could use this line as a visible cue to were I would need to start a new line.

I thought this feature was very useful, but have never seen it in another editor since. I mainly use Textpad now and was wondering if there was any way to simulate this or if it would be feasible to add this in a future upgrade.

What you could use instead is word-wrapping at the column you want.

I recommend going to the suggestions page for textpad and suggesting a Ruler feature, with the ability to draw light gray guidelines. In fact, I'll go do so now, as I would find it useful also. :)
