Crash in Win95 when trying to change fonts

Hi,
I get the behaviour in TextPad 4.4 that it crashes when trying to change fonts in configuration -> properties -> document classes. When the list of available fonts is loading, a Kernel32.dll error comes up and the program terminates. Also I noticed that the help doesn't come up.
The computer runs Win95, maybe one of the first versions (not "a" or "b"). Is it not anymore supported? (On another computer with Win98, there are no such problems.)
