Textpad as email editor - viewer.

Has anyone configured tp as an email editor?
I like the way I can reformat paragraphs ctrl-shift-j but would like to do more:
strip out the > signs and place them at the start of lines.
View > lines in colour
have tp come up as an internal editor and viewer in Outlook!
if not outlook is there an email client that will support this? Must be good at threading etc.
Any ideas?
