Thanks. It solves the "File has changed, Do you want to reload" problem for me (with both boxes checked - I did not try any other setting as this one works).

That is why I wrote it. I am a software developper myself, and I hate it if a bugfix is sent to the customer and you get no reaction...

I'm sorry to say but the problem with the "file changed, want to reload" does not seem to have been fixed with 4.4.0. It is still there for me. I have checked the options with the "2 second difference" and the "check file size change" (sorry, don't know the exact wording in English, I'm using the German version).
Could it be that the tolerance time needs to be set higher on a slower (ie. larger) network?

I am also still having this reload problem with Windows 2000. Whenever I load a file for the first time or shift the focus to Textpad , I get the message "another application has". Anyone solved this problem?
