Hi,

I use version 9.7.0 currently, in Windows. In an older version, whenever I closed TextPad I was able to ignore all "never saved" documents. By a "never saved" document, I mean a document that is the result of just clicking "New Document", and never saving it.

I use this feature extensively for temporary stuff that I don't want to save. If I have just one or two of those documents, then it's OK to click "No" one time per document when it asks me "Save changes to Document 123 *?". But if I have ten or twenty of them, it becomes a hassle shutting down TextPad.

How can I get the old behaivor back? Now the only workaround I have found is to forcefully kill the process using the task manager.

A workaround is always to work with a workspace open. New documents will then be silently saved in the workspace.

Another is to use the Close All command on the File menu before exiting.

Will look into why this behaviour changed.

Not sure what "silently saved" means. I want to throw it all away, not see it again next time I open TextPad.

Ah, the dialog that comes up when clicking "Close All" is exactly the one I miss. It used to show the same dialog when closing TextPad. It would be really nice if it came back, maybe as a setting if some people don't want it.
