v: Textpad 9.4.1 (64-bit Edition) on Windows 11:

In Configure / Preferences / Backup; I have "Automatically save every 10 minutes" selected.

It's not doing that.

I have tested using a pre-saved, re-opened document and making some changes to it.
Am I missing something?

Also, on the last update reboot of Windows 11, open documents didn't save or re-appear for reload in the update manager.

The automatic backup system saves files in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Helios\TextPad. It does this without changing the modified indicator, because it hasn’t saved over the original file. Windows asks if you want to update the originals with those backups, when restarting TextPad after a Windows update which does an automatic reboot, not if you begin the reboot yourself. In that case, it assumes you’ve saved everything yourself.
