version 9, problem opening multiple files

I'm using TextPad 9.0.1 on Windows 11.
When I go to the "File" menu, select "Open....", and select multiple files, TextPad will only open up to 10 files. It then also opens one empty file with half a file name. This empty file is actually created on the hard disk.
Can anyone else here reproduce this problem?
I already had this problem in version 9.0.0.
There is a way around it: Open a normal Windows file explorer, select the files there, and drop them on TextPad. Works like a charm.
The "Open All" from the local menu in the search results can also open many files without any problem.
