There is an issue in the latest version TextPad where the view window is not cleared after displaying Hex data. There will be garbage from the previous view.

I see it too. The effect seems to be most pronounced when the contents of the file don't fill the document window.

When I switch to another tab and then back, the garbage is gone.

Seems to be a redraw problem ...
