Shutdown error

Is this problem reported by other users of TextPad ?

I have a registered version of textpad 64-bit, v8.8.1

When I shut down or restart Windows 10, I often have TextPad open but all tabs (documents) already saved to disk.

I am getting a popup error when Windows tries to close all open programs (which may be, in my case, browser, file explorer, Outlook, ..)

This small windows can be closed and Windows will shut down

it has an error code AcStBrmhE

I'm not sure if this is directly caused by TextPad or is another problem.

it has an error code AcStBrmhE
That is no error code and you probably misread the executable name. If it's actually "AcStBmhE.exe" and the actual error code is 0xc0000142 then uninstall ArcSoft Scan'n'Stitch Delux and related Epson scanner drivers (CTRL+F for "125 people found this reply helpful").

TextPad in return thinks Windows has not shut down properly (speak: crashed), so it's trying to recover with the next start.

Solved
Unrelated to TextPad - it is a problem with another program, which I have uninstalled and removed traces in registry.

Yes, it was an ArcSoft application, and yes I omitted the Ac from the messagebox title.

Thanks for the reply (did not see it until now).
