When I close textpad I often get this message:
OK To create "C:RestartByRestartManager<bunch of number s and letters>?
What does this mean and can I get rid of it?
Thanks!
What does this message mean and how to get rid of it?

This was also happening to me, but only after crashes where I had saved
a file encoded as PC as UTF-8 BOM; noticed the error, saved again as
UNIX. Solved (apparently, hasn't happened again) by copying the text and
creating a new properly set up from the start file.
Textpad has stopped working with an unrecoverable problem. click that
off and this file pops up. I figured some sort of crash log.
EDIT:
This looks to me like it might be related to this problem:
I just scanned a document and saved it as .txt (Abby Fine Reader). I then edited this document adding in diacriticals. When I attempted to append (by copy and paste) this document to an existing UNIX UTF-8 BOM file, I got the:
"Some characters in this document ... error message". I double checked.
I had to copy and paste the whole file to a new document in order to save it.
This, with complications, is what I had done previously and I suspect had I persisted in trying to save the original document, the above error message would have been generated.
The problem seems to be that even when appending a PC encoded file to a UNIX encoded file, the line endings, not changing, causes a problem.
I had thought that saving the file as UNIX would have changed all the line endings.
I do not recall this happening previously and I have done may similar operations.
