I have been running TextPad for many years on a Windows 7 PC.
I just now installed 8.2.0 (64 bit) on a new Windows 10 PC.
On the new PC, Search/Find fails to scroll the file to the found search text unless I turn OFF soft word wrap (which is completely unacceptable). I've never seen this sort of bug before. Please help.

Scroll Fails on Search
Scrolling does not follow search correctly in documents that wrap text. The buffer view will not follow the cursor past halt way through the document when the next search result is off screen. This occurs both while searching and jumping to bookmarks. This essentially makes searching worthless for the lower half of all documents that wrap text.
The buffer will scroll until it reaches half way through the document. At that point, the screen will show the middle of the document. Moreover, if my cursor is past half way through the document and I search for something off screen but further below, the TextPad buffer will jump back to the middle of the document. My cursor, however, will move off screen. If I then move the cursor up or down while off screen, TextPad will not display the document at the cursor's position. This means I can search (a) only text on screen or (b) while text is not wrapped.
Bookmarks behavior similarly. Normally, when I search next bookmark, and if that bookmark is off screen, TextPad will jump to the bookmark and center it onscreen vertically. If a bookmark is just past half way through the document, but close enough to the center that it remains onscreen, TextPad will not center the screen on that bookmark but it will jump to it. Searches work similarly in this sense.
FYI, I'm using Windows 7 with two monitors. My second monitor, on which I display TextPad, is rotated vertically. This has worked correctly with all previous versions of TextPad, at least back to version 4.0 (yes, from 1999!).
Help would be greatly appreciated. I use TextPad for coding many things, and for HTML documents, in which I always wrap text, this little but is making my work nearly unbearable. I've used TextPad for a long time and I do not want to switch!

I had the same problem but did not make the association to 'wrapped lines' and reverted to 8.1.2.

I thought I could (a) turn off word wrap, (b) jump to bookmark or search the document, and (c) then turn word wrap back on. That does not help. When I turn on word wrap, step (c), the display jumps back to the center of the document, so that's broken too. Disappointing.
I'll probably have to revert to the earlier version.

Fixed in 8.4.0
Good news! The "find" display bug appears to be fixed in 8.4.0.
