Associated file extension not working

The .INI extension appears in the list under Preferences > Associated Files. Yet when I open an INI file (by d-clicking it in a Windows 10 folder) it opens in Notepad. Closing and restarting TextPad (version 7.6.3, 64-bit) made no difference.

Anyone know how to fix that please?

Meanwhile I've worked around it by using Windows 10's own facilities to do it.

A TextPad bug under Win 10?
