Search result hides part of file window, search in file prob

The search result window (search over files) is hiding part of editor window (more or less lower half pane). If you switch to the editor window (leaving the search result untouched because to continue later with other files identified by the search result), the search there (F5, CTRL-F, ... / you are searching in a file) could lead to matches which cannot be seen because the window is covered by search result window (lower half pane).
I. e. There is no putting of the editor window in the foreground.
This happens to me using textpad 6.1.3 (32 bit) on Windows 7. But I know that this is also the case for other versions.
Any hint or info is appreciated (most of the time the prob is sitting in front of the computer).
