:Dear Sir or Madam:

My enhancement suggestion is to formalize and publish the steps required to make Text Pad completely portable. There are fragmented pieces of advice around the web, including this site (c.f. PortableApps.com), but I have not found a unified complete discourse on this subject. Text Pad is such a valuable text editor/ide worthy of an extended portable use.

Thanks for listening,

Please provide an option to use a config file rather than the Windows registry, so that TextPad can be portable.

Copy the contents of
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Helios\TextPad
to new folder:
TextPad\license

Copy the contents of
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Helios\TextPad\7
to new folder:
TextPad\config

Now can run portable with the following LNK shortcut file:
TextPad.exe -f config -k license
