If you do a 'find in files' search for the entire hard drive looking for a string in certain types of files, there appears to be a significant amount of time involved in preparing that search, where the program goes into an inaccessible state. It would be nice if the cancel button could be employed at anytime during the search to cancel the operation.

It would also be nice to know about how long the search will take, and what is going on as textpad 'prepares' to search.
