Copy and Paste not working

There's at least one Internet security, anti-virus and malware program which blocks copy and paste commands in TextPad. If this problem occurs on your system and you have also installed WebRoot, you can fix it as follows:

Open WebRoot.
On the right hand side it says "identity protection" and next to this is a cog wheel symbol. Click this.
A page is displayed showing a tab entitled "application protection". Click this.
You will then see a list of applications and against each is a set of radio buttons 'Protect', 'Allow', 'Deny'.
Textpad.exe will likely be listed with 'Deny' set.
Change that to 'Allow'.
