TextPad appears to be unique

This is a praise for TextPad.
I was reporting an issue I discovered with Beyond Compare, and it came down to whether the Insert Key, when toggled into Overwrite Mode, allows for Overpasting or only Overtyping.
I based my reported issue upon the behavior of TP, which does allow both Overpasting and Overtyping. TextPad appears to be unique in this regard. I see Textpad as allowing for the correct behavior--both Overtyping and Overpasting.
All hail TextPad! All hail TextPad! All hail TextPad!
