I am on Win7 64bit.
I have been using TextPad English Dictionary for years with no complaint.
I was wondering if it has been updated with me noticing?
If the problem is not W7-64bit or a missed update, what else could it be?

Have you recently upgraded? It appears that 4, 5, 6, 7 32bit, and 7 64bit each has it's own install.
