Hello,
I have a strange problem with Texpad 7.0.9.
If I like to print a file, I get this error message in French "Erreur non spécifiée". Something like "Error not specified"!
With the Print Preview, I see only a blank page!
I have this problem with my Brother printer and also with the PDF Creator.
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Regards
Otto

Hello Otto,
We don't have a Brother printer or PDF creator to try this out, but please will you upgrade to TextPad 7.2 and try printing with that. (Both the 32 and 64-bit editions using the French UI can print to HP printers here, but Windows insulates TextPad from device specific details.)
Thanks,

Hello Keith,
Thanks for your help.
I just updated to V 7.2. Still the same Problem.
I installed TextPad on my Notebook. Also here, I can't print to any Printer.
I still get this error. If I try to make a Print Preview, I see only Whitepages.

Also "screws up" (ie blank preview and "unspecified error") with 7.3 if it is set to add a header (and footer?) to a printed page. There's a M$ note about this so I don't think it's entirely a textpad problem, but it is a pain in the ...

I found out the problem.
It's happens when I'm using a syntax definition file!
In my case. I have a definition file for .prg files (xHarbour).
with a simple .txt file no problem.

Using...
- the definition file "PHP/JavaScript/CSS and HTML" from Syntax Definitions N-T
- in TextPad 8.1.1x64 on Win7x64,
- activating File > Page Setup > Printing > Options > In color, and then
- printing using PDFCreator 1.7.0
...I could not reproduce any problem - the PDF (hence the print) was created as expected. With colors, as in the syntax definition.
So "
a syntax definition file" alone does not seem to be the culprit - at least not in TextPad 8. Can you either tell us which one you're using, or try the one I did?
