Goodbye :(

I've been a paying customer for over a decade.
But TextPad just won't update to Unicode, and refuses to jettison DDE which causes it interminable issues with being able to use it from Windows Explorer shell.
I cannot believe that in 2013 TP still isn't a genuine Unicode build. That it "supports" UTF-16 files by converting them all to narrow code internally, editing them, then writing them out. That so completely misses the point of UTF-16 as to boggle the mind.
You were a great tool for many years. But I cannot continue to use a tool that cannot get the job done.
Unicode, and UTF-8 / UTF-16 are no longer the future, they're the here and now.
It's been fun. GL to you.
