Greetings!

I work with many unicode type of files. I have a need to display the unicode encoding (UTF-8, UTF-16LE, etc.) somewhere in the status bar. Is this a possibility right now? If not, can this be added to the next version? I will really appreciate it. Thanks.

As far as I can tell, TextPad does not support any Unicode encodings such as UTF-8 or UTF-16. It is dependant on a 8-bit encoding with a predetermined code page.

I figured as much. I am a disappointed Textpad license holder and stopped using it. I now use emeditor. Thanks.
