Can anyone tell me how to show a blank space on a line with a dot?

Do you mean View | Visible Spaces ?

I already have that selected. What I want is to have a "." showing for each blank space on a line to better view where blank spaces exit.

Is Configure | Preferences | View | Visible white space | Spaces selected?

Which colors are defined?

Configure - Preferences - Document Classes - <your document class> - Colors - Visible Spaces

The Document Class that I use is Text.

Colors for Visible spaces are Foreground: Red and background: White.

Perhaps the characters you are trying to highlight are not actually spaces, but don't have a glyph defined for the chosen font. Try opening a binary view of the file to check their values. Space is hex 20 and tab is hex 09.

Viewing a file in binary, I sse a whole bunch of 20's.

Any other thoughts?

I can see the "." now for all blank spaces. The setting that I forgot to check was View --> Visible Spaces.

Thanks for all your help.
