Hi everyone,
I like to make spaces in my files visible.
I can activate this option each time I open a new document (Ctrl+Q, I) but is it possible to make it active by default?
Thanks in advance

If you save the file or files as a Workspace from the File menu, then attributes such as visible spaces and bookmarks are retained when the .tws file is opened, on subsequent occasions.

Hi helios,
Thanks for the anwser.
I have never used workspaces in Textpad before, so I took a look after your answer.
Interesting, but it's not exactly want to achieve.
I am looking for a solution working for every file I open in TextPad. (Ideally, it could be a property attached to a Document Class)
Philippe.

I am with Philippe. Seven years later, still no solution?

Open Textpad (without workspace).
Close documents (if any are opened).
Select "Visible Spaces".
Close Textpad.
Re-Open Textpad.
"Visible Spaces" should still be selected.
Visible White Space setting does not work.

MudGuard solution does not work on a document that has already been open.
Here is my test;
With no files open,
Configure->Preferences->View->Visible white space; set all to visible.
open a new file and paste text into new file, White Space NOT visible.
TextPad seems to "remember" a file was opened "not visible" and refuse to make white space visible even with the Configure->Preferences->View->Visible white space is already set.
Yes, Ctrl+Q,I will turn them on, but you have to do this over and over and over, so irritating that the preferences does not work.
The MudGuard solution does not work for my version of TextPad v7.4.0 64bit.
