Hi there,
I'm opening multiple files (as have done before) but now it's really slow. If I select the files, in this case 103 text files, then right click and click Textpad, it takes an age for them to open. It never used to. If I select the same files and drag and drop onto Textpad, they open almost instantly.
Using Textpad 5.4.2 on Vista (yes, I know!) over RDP. Other users use over RDP and can open the same files as quickly as I'd expect, so seems to be only my issue. The files are on a network, but get the same performance hit if they are copied local to the PC.
Any ideas?
Help/advice much appreciated.
Thanks,
Itsa
Slow to open using Context Menu

I have a similar problem with just one file.
Right click, choose "TextPad" on the context menu, and then wait about 2 mins for TextPad to launch and show the file.
Clearly, *something* is timing out... badly.
This is incredibly irritating. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, etc.
The problem doesn't exist if TextPad is already running. But always happens if it isn't.
Obviously the shell extension is not working properly. Very, very bothersome.

I would buy this again, just to have this feature fully and well fixed.
I cannot stand that I cannot right click and use "TextPad" option from Explorer. This sucks
