I upgraded my OS and re-installed TextPad, and now it when search gets to the last match in a file, hitting the FindNext key doesn't beep and start over at the top of the file. I've looked everywhere I can think of in Preferences, on every menu, etc., and am not seeing what controls that behavior.

I'm sure it's hiding in plain sight, but could someone point me to where that is?

It is hiding in plain sight. What you're looking for is the Wrap searches option on the Find dialog itself.
