Hi - I like to operate with a White On Black color theme (easier on eyes and for working in night). I am able to change everything fine - EXCEPT the left bar as shown in the below image.

Can someone tell me how to also get this left bar to be white on black? Thanks.

Try changing the colour settings in the TextPad preferences. Look up the help under How To > Customise Settings > Colors.

Changing the Window background item changes the background colour for the whole window including the line numbers, although I don't know how that interacts with the White On Black theme.

Configure - Preferences - <your document class> - colors.

Select "Left Margin" in "Items" list.

Then set Foreground/Background colors to whatever you like.

Thank you so much MudGuard - that did it perfectly. For some reason I did not see that option before when looking in Colors. Much appreciated for bringing it to my attention.
