How may I get TP6 to respect the desktop theme on Win7?

Currently despite that I have Windows Classic theme, TP is showing many gradient backgrounds:

Try the options under View > Appearance.

Thanks (Suggestion to Devs: put that under Preferences... where it belongs) but that is only partly successful e.g. gradient remains on Windows title bar contrary to Win 7 Classic theme:

The same failure appears on Win XP SP2.
