Problems upgrading from v5.42

I installed the latest version of TextPad today and the install created a new path "C:\Program Files\TextPad 6" (which is fine) but nothing was moved from the existing "C:\Program Files\TextPad 5" folder.

A new registry entry was created under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Helios\TextPad 6

Will it cause problems to move export/import the previous registry entries from
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Helios\TextPad 5
to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Helios\TextPad 6

How can I get my preferences from v5.42 to appear in v6.1 without having to manually set them up again?

Also, is there a way to revert to the old color scheme? I don't like the black background with white text.

Thanks for your help, John

Go to TP Help and look for How to Transfer Preferences between PC's

******************************

How to Transfer Preferences between PC's

Before transferring any preferences, first exit from TextPad, so that they are updated.

If you want to transfer any macros, these are stored in files *.TPM in the Macros folder. Copy those files to the same folder on the other PC. (See also: How to Customize the Macros Menu.)

If you have customized any key bindings, these are stored in the file CUSTOM.BND in the Custom Shortcuts folder. Copy that file to the same folder on the other PC.

The other preferences are stored in the files in FOLDERID_RoamingAppData\Helios\TextPad\<version>.

The license key file, TextPadKey.xml, is stored in FOLDERID_ProgramData\Helios\TextPad.
