Is there anyway you can automate (or run a macro) Find in Files? I want to use a list of names to search in several hundred txt files and get an output file that lists each occurrence. I can do this manually of course or run a grep command in ubuntu but I want the results in Windows and would rather do it in TextPad without having to run pscp, fromdos etc.

TextPad is great although Helios could provide some support for paid licence users!

Have you had any luck finding a solution to this? I am trying to find a way to do something similar. I have a list of search terms (table names) and I need to see if they are referenced in a subset of files.

no sadly not....I had to do it one search term at a time
