Send locking up MS Outlook 2010 on Win7 x64 Ultimate

We recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit machines and we use Outlook 2010 for email. When trying to send a file via email from within TextPad (v5.4.2) the email box pops up but when you try to type anything you get a "server is busy" message that wants you to switch to conflicting service. It basically locks up TextPad and Outlook.

Has this happened to anyone else? We previously had XP machine on SP3 running this version of Outlook and Textpad and had no problems.

Do you have outlook set as your default?

I keep inadverently trying to send to email ..and outlook 2010 (x64 version) ...just keeps locking up.

I think ..If I had to make a guess... it's the x86 -> x64 that isn't possible that causes everything. (I have a hunch) it's a clipboard compatiblity between the distinct format limitations.
