Hi,
I know that if I go to Text Pad and open a file from the menu, that I will have multiple tabs running on one instance of the programme - that is what I want.
But, if I just double click on a file, then Text Pad opens a new instance of the programme. So, if I do this a number of times, I have multiple instance of the programme open.
Is there any way of forcing TextPad to just open multiple tabs, and not multiple im=nstance of the programme when I double-click files to open them that way?
I already have my preference set to not run multiple instances, but still get multiple instances.
Thanks,
Paul
Can I NOT have multiple instance of Text Pad Running?

Just found another way of doing it...
TextPad has put a command in my file context menu when I installed it. So, if I right click on a file, then choose Textad from the context menu, the files will keep opening up in the same instance of the programme.
I mention this in case someone is reading this thread to be able to do this too.

Maybe the settings that I have in my preferences about unticking the "Allow multiple instances To Run" makes a difference? (see the image in first post in this thread)nvj1662 wrote: When I do that I get two separate instances of TextPad.
Have a look and see if you have that ticked on unticked in your preferences.
