Server 2008 R2, Auto-Reload feature does not work

Hello everyone. I'm not certain this is the right area for this potential defect report, but here it goes.

I have just started using Textpad (latest version, 5.4.2) on a Server 2008 R2 installation in my development environment. I rely on the "Auto-Reload" feature to "tail" log files as I perform actions in my system to watch the results in near real time, but I've found that in this environment (on all of my Server 2008 R2 machines), the Auto-Reload feature... doesn't.

If I go into Configure | Preferences | File, and change the option from "Auto-Reload" to "Ignore", hit Apply, then change it back to "Auto-Reload", and hit Apply or OK, it will then reload the changed document, but it shouldn't require my manual intervention to do so! I've tried all combinations of the 2 check boxes below, and none seem to make any difference.

The changes to the file are what you'd expect from an log file - just new lines being added to the end of the file. It doesn't matter if it's an IIS log file or a log file from Log4Net from one of my .Net services, they ALL act this way.

I searched the forums and found nothing, so maybe this is a brand new issue, maybe not. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Benjamin
