Explorer should go to file opened (+other speed tips)

Hello,
The explorer currently isn't really usefull if it doesn't immediatly go to the file I just opened with textpad.
So for example I use "my computer" to go some where to my source files.
I open a single file via textpad.
It would then be handy if textpad would automatically make the explorer window go there so I can see all other folders and files which belong to that file.
Also it would work a lot faster if a single click in the explorer would open the file.
Also the explorer is blinking a bit, which is kinda annoying and cheapish looking (probably for network drives ?) perhaps adding a feature to disable this would be nice.
Also it tries to read from the floppy drive which is kinda annoying and perhaps slowing things down.
Also when explorer is enabled it's a bit slow...
(I hope it's not reading the entire drive... !?? just do a little bit
like current folder )
