Unable to use save command on unchanged files.

I've upgraded to 5.4.2 and I can't save files anymore, when they are unmodified.

By habit I save constantly, call it a nervous tick, whatever. But, whenever I
look at a file for a while or make a small change, BAM: Alt F S.

type one line of code? Alt F S
Scroll through and look for errors? Alt F S
stop to think? Alt F S

It's ingrained in me from too many power failures.

However it doesn't seem to work anymore if the file is unchanged.
I hit Alt F S, and it gets stuck in the file menu. Because the
'S' option is greyed, as the file hasn't changed.

Version 4.7.3 used to let it just slide, and skip the save, but close
the menu, 5.4.2 doesn't seem to do that.

Is there an option to change this? or is it a new bug?

And please don't try to tell me to "just press Ctrl-S",
which will slide and be ignored, because
I've been using Alt F S since before Ctrl-S was invented,
and I'll take it to my grave. And the Ctrl key is too far out
of reach, the alt key is right next to the space bar where
I can reach it.
Alt F S works in the old textpad, notepad, metapad, MSword, wordpad, OOWrite
and pretty much every other windows editor I've ever used,
as well as pretty much every windows program that I've ever needed to
use the save feature for.

thanks,

It's not a bug just because it doesn't fit your habit. I suggest you go back to 4.7.3 if you feel the need to press Alt+F, S on a constant basis.

I guess the problem I have is that is was changed, and not noted in the release notes. That's why I believe it to be a bug.
