Security Warning using View in Browser with I.E.9

Post by Mike Olds »

Hello,

I have just now received a couple of security warnings using view in web browser with the default browser being I.E. 9.

this warns me that 'an' application wants to open web content from this program. Not sure of exact wording. No certificate. the publisher is unknown, lists a publisher as Ivo?~

Of course I clicked allow and do not show this again before thinking.

Does anyone know what is going on?

Windows 7. Windows defender is on in addition to Norton Internet Security. Windows defender just recently enabled which may be why this did not show up previously.

EDIT: There is nothing leaving my machine, accessing the internet, that shouldn't be. There are no viruses or other malware on the machine per Norton Internet Security.

EDIT 2: Putting aside my stupidity at so hastily clicking off the warning, I believe the fact that it showed up so suddenly (I have been previously doing the same thing without it's appearing) was caused by auto-update. That feature, which seems important, does make changes in settings without letting one know and that is most confusing.
Thank you, and
Best Wishes,
Obo
