I reported this problem earlier, and now it's worse. Macros exist in the Configuration and the folder but when I dragged them from the macros toolbar, I lost the buttons. How can I reset the toolbars???? Please help.

Click on the small down arrow for Toolbar Options, at the right hand end of the toolbar, and choose Add or Remove Buttons/Standard/Reset Toolbar.
I hope this helps.

Sorry for my incorrectly worded post. I placed an image of the problem on this site:
Twice this week I clean installed Textpad 5.4.1 by first removing any reference to Helios and Textpad from the Registry, Documents and Settings, and the Program Files. In both cases, the list of available macros and their assigned keyboard shortcuts under Menu bar\Macros option never showed up.
What is seen in the image are macros dragged over from the Macro tool bar. They are improperly aligned to the right as opposed to the left. The keyboard shortcuts visible are from the description field in Preferences, - and not the normal display. Customization is not possible because in Customize mode, the dragged macros disappear altogether from the Macros drop down menu.
Previously, the macros were properly listed and aligned left, with their assigned keyboard keys were properly displayed on the right.
I was also wondering if the use of Autohotkey interferes, but there are no duplicate keyboard assignments in Textpad. I disabled Autohotkey and rebooted but it makes no difference. Resetting the tool bars and the menu bar makes no difference. So, at this point I am lost.
