Shortcuts and macros

Hi

I need some help on macros.

I recently upgraded to version 5.4.2. In the older version - I think it was 4.7.3 - it was possible to associate keyboard shortcuts like "ctrl+1" to my home made macros, but I can't find that feature in the new version. Now I have to type "alt+m", and then "1". And if I want to run the macro twice, I have to repeat it all, or use "ctrl+F7", and specify the macro, I want to run more than once :(

In the older version I could just hold "ctrl" down, and type "1" as many time as I wanted to run the macro.

Could it be right that this efficient feature is missing in 5.4.2, or is just me that have ignored some setting?

/Michael

You can assign your own keyboard shortcuts to macros. I don't think anything has changed in this aspect between 4.7.3 and 5.4.2, but here's a refresher on how to do it.

1. Click Configure > Preferences.
2. Click Keyboard.
3. In Categories, click Macros.
4. In Commands, click the name of the macro you want to assign a shortcut to.
5. Click in Press new shortcut key, then press the desired shortcut key.
6. Click Assign.
7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 if you want to assign more shortcut keys.

Perfect!

Of course it was just me who had forgotten how to do it.

Thanks for the reply :D
