I run 5.4
edit a couple of files
select the tab for one of them in the top
there is a close menu but I would like to have a also a 'close all' and 'close others'
...like in Eclipse in fact where this is so handy.
Much faster than closing all the other windows one at a time or selecting them in the document selector at left and using the close menu.
Same menu to add in the document selector.

I highly agree. It would also be nice to have an "x" button on the tabs themselves, like in Firefox, Eclipse, etc., rather than the common close button off to the right. Minor ergonomics like that really do improve the experience.

Good feature, but the original point to have a "Close All" function already exists on the main File menu.

I would just like to renew this suggestion. It would be very nice to see something like this because I find myself with several tabs open and would like to close everything but the current tab quickly.
