Just that.
It takes too much time to launch textpad.
"Speedy launch" can have less features at first, load in background afterwords.
And when speed lauching, a text only interface like notepad is cleaner.

Takes more than 30 seconds to load for me. It didn't use to, not sure what's going on. It got slower and slower over time. I uninstalled, cleaned my registry, reinstalled --- no improvement. I do not have the dockable explorer window open, either.

Maybe it's a difference in versions. I still use 4.7.3 specially because it is small and does what I need. Does the 5.x line use .net? If it uses that crud, I could see why it would take 30 seconds to load.

I managed to fix it. Here is what I did:

- uninstalled Textpad
- deleted textpad install folder
- ran registry cleaner
- rebooted machine
- ran registry cleaner again
- installed to a location that did not have any spaces in any of the folder names.

Now it loads like it used to, subsecond.
