Where is the column ruler display options?

Post by tcr »

Hi,
I sought in every menus but I don't see an option to display the column ruler...
... but perhaps which this ruler doesn't exist in TextPad...
Any clues ?

Thank you,

Thierry

P.S. : I know which the column position is displayed in the bottom (status bar), but would be more usefully to have a column ruler too...

Yes, I can give you a clue. TextPad doesn't have a ruler. You can search for forums for "ruler" and see that it's been requested many times.

As Andrew said, TextPad doesn't have a horizontal ruler feature, but you can find some free software at the URL below:

I hope this helps.

You're joking, right?!

What we want is an indication in the editor which corresponds to the actual text columns so that indenting (especially blocks) to specific columns is much easier than it currently is.

FWIW, The column and row numbers for the current cursor position are indicated in the bottom border panel of the edit window.

Check View, Status Bar

Perhaps it is not turned on
(2[Bb]|[^2].|.[^Bb])

That is the question.
