"SSIA" ????
I am using TextPad 5.3.1
At the right end of each toolbar is a small downward arrow...
Left-click the little arrow on a toolbar, then click:
[Add or Remove Buttons] -> [Customize] -> [Commands] -> [Categories->Files]
Then click-and-drag the [Close] or [Close All] or other buttons from the Commands list, and drag-drop the button to your desired position/toolbar.

SSAI = "Subject Says It All".
Thanks - "Close" was not in the "standard" buttons for that toolbar, which is odd, as it has new, open and save, but was able to drag it from another set of toolbar options, so problem solved. Cheers
