I'd like to be able to have a BEFORE and AFTER log of each line changed in each file.

Is there a way to get that or to get a similar effect?

something like:
======= begin file1.html

old line124 --> s:\\\\
New line 124--> s:\\

old line255 --> s:\\\\
new line255 --> s:\\

======== end file1.html

Does TextPad's Tools/Compare Files not work for you?

I'm guessing you mean TextPad? or is there another product?

I'm sorry - I couldn't find that in WildEdit

I wanted to be able to see the before and after in all files changed in the folder.

I would have to conclude there is no verbose logging option.

From the Help File:
The log is used to record the following information, with a time stamp for each transaction:

The parameters used for searching and replacing.
Each file examined by Replace All and Redo commands.
Each file restored by Undo commands.
Any errors that may be reported.

It does involve other steps, but I use CSDiff to see exact changes. This involves making a copy of the original files first, doing the Replace, then using CSDiff to compare the modified files to the copies of the originals.

I just contributed to answering the same question by you on 2/20, here: http://forums.textpad.com/viewtopic.php ... ght=csdiff
